A Lifetime of Studying, Teaching, and Performing

Yes, that’s me standing in the back with the sunglasses and the cigar

I wanted to do everything like my teacher Harvey Shapiro including smoking cuban cigars and generally trying to be the center of attention. Never mind that I couldn’t afford cuban cigars anymore than I deserved to be the center of attention. I was eighteen years old at the time. Harvey was so inspiring that he changed my whole outlook for cello and music.
